The Chromium iX, based on NextGEM technology, is a microfluidic instrument for isolating cells or cell nuclei from a suspension (biological sample) in order to carry out transcriptomics, proteomics and/or epigenetics analyzes by NGS at the scale of single cells or nuclei.

Possible and non-exhaustive analyzes using the instrument :

  • Gene expression on single cells or nuclei (Single Cell Gene Expression) on all types of fresh cells, or on human and murine cells fixed with 4% PFA
  • Characterization of accessible regions of chromatin (ATAC) at the scale of single nuclei, possible in combination with gene expression on cells or single nuclei
  • Amplification of VDJ sequences of fresh human and murine T and B lymphocytes in order to carry out immune profiling of the organisms studied, at the scale of single cells

The Chromium iX can isolate cells/nuclei from 1 to 8 samples per run, and allows the simultaneous analysis of 500 to 80,000 unique cells or nuclei (up to 160,000 cells using multiplexing). The capture rate is a maximum of 65% and the multiplet rate is 0.8% for 1000 cells.
